Not the dog in question, but you get the idea.

A Lowcountry dog perished last Thursday after it was left outside with little shade in a 110-degree heat index.

And now 26-year-old Bluffton man Loies Loyola is being charged with ill treatment of animals and faces up to five years in jail and a fine of $5,000.
