Carrying on its tradition, CJO will offer its own take on some of Simone’s most notable contributions to American music, premiering in-house arrangements, rounding out a set list including, “Wild Is The Wind,” arranged by lead alto saxophonist Robert Lewis, “Wok Song,” arranged by tenor saxophonist Mark Sterbank, “Feeling Good,” arranged by guitarist Tyler Ross, “I Want A Little Sugar In My Bowl,” arranged by pianist Gerald Gregory and vocalist Leah Suárez, and “Love Me or Leave Me,” arranged by Maestro Singleton, himself.
