Savannah Bridge Run is Saturday, so watch out if you're driving (Update: Video coverage)

Update December 4: A quick bit of non-local coverage, but WTOC 11 has a nice video from the bridge run.

Some 6,000 runners came out (a good 1,000 more than the record set last year); take a watch here.

First reporting: The 2011 Savannah River Bridge Run is Saturday, December 3, so you better watch out if you're driving down.

First off, know that only one lane of the iconic bridge will be closed for the race that kicks off at 8:15 a.m. on Saturday, December 3, but still you should expect delays through much of the day and before.

While the two inside lanes of the bridge will remain open to traffic, there will also be affects downtown as some streets will be closed to traffic start at midnight.

Oh, if you didn't know the bridge's official name is the Talmadge Memorial Bridge.
